edulabs ("we") provides practice exams and course commerce tools to teachers and students. This draft describes what we collect and how we use it during our limited US university / AP course pilot.
Information we collect
- Account: name and email, provided via our authentication provider when you sign in.
- Role: whether you use the app as a teacher or a student.
- Learning activity: courses, questions, exams you create, and attempts/answers/scores you generate.
- Payments: for purchases, our payment processor handles card details; we store a record of the transaction (amount, product, status), not your card number.
- Uploaded material: files you upload for AI question generation are stored to process them into draft questions.
How we use it
- To operate the service: authentication, authoring, exam delivery, scoring, and analytics.
- To process payments and grant purchased access.
- To generate draft questions from material you provide.
Service providers (subprocessors)
We share the minimum data needed with providers that help us run the service:
- Authentication provider — sign-in and identity.
- Payment processor — checkout and payouts.
- AI provider — generating draft questions from uploaded material.
- Cloud hosting provider — running the application, database, and file storage.
Student data (FERPA posture)
During the pilot we minimize student data: teachers share access via links or codes rather than uploading rosters. We do not sell personal information. We aim to limit collection to what the service needs to function.
Data retention and your choices
You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. Retention periods and formal request handling will be finalized before public launch.
